Sinopecked, or “My Fair Questions to the BC Liberal Party”

Well well well, today it was revealed that state-owned petroleum refining company Sinopec is a member of the consortium – the other members of which remain strangely anonymous – that has invested $100 million backing Enbridge’s $5.5 billion Northern Gateway Pipeline.

Northern Gateway Pipeline LP has contributed nearly $50,000 – $49,500 to be precise – to the B.C. Liberal Party and only the B.C. Liberal Party. Meanwhile, Enbridge has contributed over $50,000 – $52,290 to be precise – to the B.C. Liberal Party and only the B.C. Liberal Party.

North Vancouver mom™ Vivian Krause is a frequent contributor to the National Post and Vancouver Sun. The theme of many of her articles are the concern she has over what she feels is, at the very least, the appearance of foreign philanthropist money being laundered into the Canadian political system via environmental groups, something which she feels severely undermines our democracy and sovereignty. She is also equally concerned about foreign corporate donations. I know this because she told me:

Whether its philanthropic money or corporate money, I believe that the origin should be disclosed.

I am thus looking forward to her upcoming article on what is – if one were to employ the same standards and logic used in her past articles – the appearance of foreign communist monies flowing into the coffers of the B.C. Liberal Party. All things being equal.

I’m sure the finishing touches are being put on it now…
