Creative accounting practices

It probably won’t come as a surprise to anyone that the math the BC Liberals use is not of the highest calibre, as the Auditor-General concluded today. But what I found about this story interesting was…

B.C. Comptroller General Cheryl Wenezenki-Yolland’s response, which was contained in the report, says the government believes its accounting methods are informative, cost effective and timely.

Ooo…exciting Auditor on Comptroller General action! This would be the same Comptroller General Wenezenki-Yolland who was charged with examining the Vancouver School Board’s budget. Apparently she has difficulty in recognizing good accounting practices.

Or perhaps, she’s “flexible”, depending on the circumstances.
